So, they've set out from their Elmira, Ont., home in a recreational vehicle to visit NHL cities. Edmonton will be the third stop. They plan to attend the Red Wings-Oilers game Saturday night. They were at games in Chicago last Thursday and in St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday.

Stamford Advocate, CT - October 17, 2006 - Some NHL executives were upset when the Devils were granted salary-cap relief after it was determined just before the season opened that Alexander Mogilny had a career-ending injury. But not Islanders general manager Garth Snow who, had he not moved to the front office, might have been forced to retire from his goaltending duties for the same reason as Mogilny.

Hitchcock told TSN he learned of his fate early Sunday morning. Assistant coach John Stevens will be promoted to Hitchcock's post, while Paul Holmgren will take over Clarke's managing duties.

The team placed defenceman Nolan Baumgartner and forwards Niko Dimitrakos and Petr Nedved on waivers and will recall right wing Stefan Ruzicka, defenseman Alexandre Picard and left wing Ben Eager from their AHL affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms.

Denis made 34 saves, and Ryan Craig and Ruslan Fedotenko scored second-period goals to help Tampa Bay beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Thursday night.
