The Scottish Eagles were formed in 1996 as Scotland's only participating team in the Ice Hockey SuperLeague. In their second season, they broke all records as they completed the first ever IHSL Grand Slam, having won the Benson & Hedges Cup, the IHSL championship, the Express Cup & the Superleague Play-Off Finals.
