Through a provincially unified, collective voice, the OWHA promotes, provides and develops opportunities for girls and women to play female hockey in Ontario.

Welcome to the official website of the Second Annual Northwest Women's Invitational Hockey Tournament. The tournament has thirty-four teams competing in three divisions from cities in Canada and the U.S.

The Pennsylvania-Ohio Women's Hockey Association (POWHA) began it's inaugural season in October 2002 with 8 teams participating including; the Cleveland Heights Ice Hawks, the Cincinnati Rising Stars, the Columbus Capitals, the North Olmsted Blues, the Kent Twisters, the Pittsburgh Piranhas Blue, the Pittsburgh Piranhas Gray and the Pittsburgh Puffins. Each team plays 14 (7 home and 7 away) games through out the season working towards playoff positioning for the POWHA championship tournament in April of 2003. Teams consist of adult women from Ohio and Western Pa.
