In The Game announced the Going For Gold concept at the Spring Expo in Toronto, May 2006 and since that date collectors everywhere have been buzzing about it. The Varsity Scouting Program is a non-profit scouting service for Bantam- and Midget-aged female hockey players. The purpose of this program is to identify those female players on a team that are both strong students and good hockey players. It is also the Program's purpose to inform and promote female student-athletes planning on combining post-secondary education and hockey.
